Jamboree Housing Corporation Receives $40,000 Grant from Bank of America

IRVINE, CA – Jamboree Housing Corporation has received a $40,000 grant from Bank of America. A leading affordable housing developer, Jamboree is one of 17 Orange County nonprofits to be awarded $415,000 in grants to local nonprofits working to increase access to affordable housing and support neighborhood revitalization across Orange County.

Funding will help low- and moderate-income people who are struggling due to a lack of affordable housing while addressing broader needs related to community revitalization, enabling them to access the resources they need to lay a foundation for a stable financial life, and in turn, drive growth in the Orange County community.

“We value our 16-year partnership with Bank of America and the funding support that has allowed Jamboree to provide affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen communities,” said Laura Archuleta, Jamboree president. “Additionally, Bank of America has provided lending for many of our developments including Clark Commons in Buena Park, a state-of-the-art workforce housing development coupled with special programming and activities for local residents. We are grateful for the broad range of support that Bank of America provides to Jamboree over these many years.”

“Community development initiatives and revitalization efforts help strengthen Orange County as a place where people want to live, work and do business and lead to sustainable economic growth,” said Allen Staff, Orange County Market President, Bank of America. “This is just one of the many ways we work with and invest in Jamboree to help address the unique affordable housing and community development challenges in Orange County to help the region thrive.”

Community revitalization is just one example of Bank of America’s commitment to responsible growth and shared success as it works to make the financial lives of individuals and families in Orange County better. Philanthropic and volunteer investments play a key role in building thriving communities. In 2015, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation gave more than $1 million in grants to Orange County nonprofits, and local employees volunteered more than 40,000 hours in Orange County communities.
