Irvine, CA (November 21, 2019) – Jamboree Housing Corporation announced today that Elizabeth Tracey has been named to the company’s new position of Vice President Business Development. In this role, Tracey will oversee the increase of Jamboree’s market position by locating, negotiating, and securing new development opportunities. This further supports Jamboree’s mission to deliver a diversity of high-quality affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen communities.
“As one of the largest nonprofit affordable housing developers in California, Jamboree is continually looking for ways to expand our operations. This is in response to the increased demand for affordable housing from our municipal and community partners across the state. Our business development team is on the front lines to help communities identify affordable housing opportunities, providing upfront expertise on how to bring these potential projects into fruition. Liz’s expertise and experience in the industry will help us better serve cities across California. This benefits Jamboree’s corporate strategy and increases the influence of our positive, long-term community impact,” said Laura Archuleta, Jamboree President and CEO.
Archuleta pointed out that the hire of a Vice President of Business Development will allow Jamboree’s development pipeline to continue to grow and flourish in every region of California. With Jamboree’s current expertise, size, and reach, Tracey’s focus will be to expand and progress the thousands of units Jamboree develops throughout the state and will also build new relationships with cities, developers, and service provider partners.
“Given my experience helping develop and finance affordable housing projects, I’m so pleased to join Jamboree’s effort to expand housing opportunities across the state,” said Tracey, who has worked in affordable housing financing for the private sector for the last 25 years. Most recently, Tracey served as Senior Principal for LeSar Development Consultants, helping advise developers, governments, and nonprofit organizations focused on housing and economic development. During her time at LeSar Development Consultants, she deployed millions in capital financing for affordable housing projects for numerous entities, including Los Angeles County Metro, the Los Angeles County Development Authority, and Napa County. Previously, she worked with numerous private financial institutions, which includes serving as Senior Vice President of the Low-Income Investment Fund, Vice President in the New Markets Tax Credit Group, and in Community Development Real Estate at JP Morgan Chase. In these roles, Tracey oversaw the production of loans and equity investments for affordable housing and community facilities. This expertise makes her well suited to build upon Jamboree’s reputation in the banking and investment industry.
Tracey holds a master’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in finance and real estate, from the University of California at Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Northwestern University.
