Compass Rose is a family affordable housing community located in the Richman Park neighborhood of Fullerton, California. It’s a scattered site property made up of 10 individual parcels that have been merged into five lots. At the center of these separate buildings is a spacious community center with management offices, recreational space, and kitchen facilities – all for use by the residents. Just steps from the community center, floor-to-ceiling folding windows open to outdoor space with picnic tables, barbecues, and a tot lot.
Jamboree’s commitment to building green helps lower energy consumption, and in the process, creates additional cost savings for residents with energy-efficient appliances and lighting plus water-efficient plumbing. This is one of many ways that Jamboree focuses on the health of our residents and communities. Through our Community Impact Group, residents and the surrounding Richman Park neighborhood have access to onsite services such as our after-school program to REACH Kids. Working with other community partners like St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center and California State University Fullerton’s Center for Healthy Neighborhoods, Jamboree will provide onsite wellness classes focused on improving the emotional and physical well being of residents and the community.
Located just a short walk from downtown Fullerton, Compass Rose residents are minutes from retail shops, restaurants, cultural attractions like the Fullerton Museum or the weekly Fullerton night market to enjoy with family, friends, and young children. Compass Rose is within one-half mile of five different bus lines and a 15-minute walk from the Fullerton Transportation Center, where the Metrolink station is located – connecting Fullerton to the rest of Orange County and the greater Los Angeles region.
Jamboree will continue to partner with the City of Fullerton, investors and property management to ensure that Compass Rose remains well maintained and affordable for the long-term.
