In collaboration with the City of Santa Ana, the Veterans Administration (VA), and other leading veterans service organizations, Jamboree’s design of this innovative development is as a sanctuary of stability and a hub of hope for some of Orange County’s most vulnerable veterans.

With the creation of the Heroes Landing Collaborative, Jamboree’s seventh Community Collaborative, a unique nexus of partners provides immediate access to specialized, cooperative support that’s integral to the success of veterans. This collaborative approach to a veteran services center provides onsite mental health counseling, wellness services, employment services, and legal assistance to residents and veterans across Orange County. A testament to the uniqueness of this community, Jamboree brought together nine different funding partners – including private groups like The Home Depot Foundation and the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) – to create the financing necessary to construct a long-lasting affordable home for low-income veterans.
Jamboree continues to partner with the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, investors, mental health service providers, and property management to ensure that Heroes Landing provides high quality housing and extensive supportive services to residents and veterans across Orange County for years to come, filling the need for Permanent Supportive Housing with services for our veterans with special needs.
According to Homelessness in Orange County: The Costs to our Community, it is estimated that Heroes Landing will save Orange County more than $3.9 million in emergency services, unnecessary hospitalizations and other expenses annually.
